Richard France (BSc FRICS ACI Arb)

Managing Director

Richard founded the Oakgate Group in July 1995 with Paul Caddick and John Grantham, having had over 20 years previous experience in both the public and private sector. With nearly five decades of industry experience, Richard has created and been involved in many mixed use developments in The North and Yorkshire, but especially York. The combination of his extensive local knowledge, experience and unrivalled contacts enables him to deliver complex projects with the full resources of The Caddick Group.

Hollie Shackleton (BA HONS MSC MRICS)

Senior Development Surveyor

Hollie graduated at Manchester University with a BA (Hons) in Geography and went on to obtain an MSc in Property Appraisal & Management at Sheffield Hallam. Now working as a Senior Development Surveyor, Hollie has been part of Oakgate Group for over 10 years working on the acquisition, development and management of commercial and residential properties. She has also joined the wider Caddick Group as Senior Development & Asset Manager, overseeing the management of the portfolio.

Sarah Palfreeman

PA to Richard France

Sarah has worked for Oakgate Group for 25 years and is the linchpin of the company. She works with both the development and asset management teams to coordinate work and is often the first port of call for our residents, tenants and occupiers. She continues to be Richard’s PA and is an active member of the York community.
