The property was originally constructed in the 15th century, with alterations to rear in the 17th and 18th century. Stonegate is located in the heart of York and is one of York’s most popular historic streets. It is surrounded by high end fashion retailers and boutiques as well as Bettys Café directly opposite. The property was previous let to ‘The Hunted House’ attraction until August 2014 as of when Oakgate undertook sensitive renovations and redevelopment of the property. In 2015 it was let to Oliver Bonas, of which York was one of their first stores out of London and the property has now been sold.
